Fitness & inner health has always been a huge part of my life. From my early career as a physical education teacher to my ‘latest’ career as a part-time F45 instructor, I feel strongly that a wholistic approach is required to keep us all looking and feeling great. My mantra is “We’ve all just got to keep moving” & as simplistic and cliched as this may sound, it’s true! It’s as hard & as easy as that!
I’m a late starter in this industry. My curiosity for Pilates began in my 40’s because I was looking for a form of exercise that I would enjoy and stick to. I knew I had to move my body soon. Once I started, I became addicted to the DOMS – the delayed onset muscle soreness. I have a special interest in women 40 years+, seniors and exercising for the sense of belonging and a healthy mind. Hormonal changes in women, anxiety, depression, financial loss can all reap feelings of uncertainty and cause isolation. Let’s be brave and have courage -Together.
I got serious about my personal health and fitness journey 10 years ago when I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I started participating in aqua aerobics classes – and the fitness bug BIT! I got my certification as a personal trainer, & as my interest in the fitness industry expanded, I qualified as a Les Mill Body Pump instructor, and then added my beloved Pilates certifications. I LOVE the ethos of Pilates & I teach Mat, Reformer and Barre with immense passion. My clients’ goals are my goals -and I’m honoured to share and be a part of each and every person’s sustainable wellness journey.
As a Physiotherapist, and Mat/Reformer Pilates instructor, working with patients to fulfill their individual goals, is a strong passion of mine. My love for Pilates started several years ago when I began to appreciate the enormous benefits, and how Pilates can enhance so many people’s lives; with rehabilitative purposes, injury prevention, pre/post-natal and general full-body toning, flexibility and balance. I am very grateful to be able to work with such a fabulous team and members group at Body Life.
I discovered Pilates 7 years ago during one of my old classic ‘new year, new Bre’ fad diet and exercise plans – but ‘fad’ no more, I was instantly addicted! After experiencing the abundance of benefits Pilates had to offer across both my own body and mindset, I just had to learn more and share this new love with others. SO here I am today and with just one goal in mind – to make the world a happier place, one Pilates class at a time.
